Description:
Extremely vigorous scrambling shrub or climber with glossy green leaves.
Flower:
Masses of crimson-orange coloured flowers throughout the summer.
Size:
If left un-pruned they can reach 3m x 3m.
Growing Conditions:
Bougainvilleas do not require any special attention. They are tolerant to wind and most growing conditions and while they will handle light frosts they do best in a sunny sheltered position.
Care:
An occasional prune will maintain size and shape. They are not generally bothered by pests or diseases.
Uses:
- Great for covering pergolas, walls and sheds.
- They provide an attractive display of colour when flowering.
Comments:
A stunning and beautiful plant but do watch out for their thorns.
