Leptinella diocia

Description

Common Name:

Shore Leptinella

Description:

A fast growing groundcover that forms a dense mat with fern like foliage.

Flower:

Small yellow, button like flowers.

Size:

5cm x 1m. Can be trimmed to reduce spread.

Growing Conditions:

A hardy native that will grow in most conditions. Prefers a shady and slightly moist soil but is happy in full sun too.

Care:

Water well during dry spells. You can reduce the spread by using a spade to chop back to size.

Uses:

·         Wonderful and rapid groundcover. Well suited to under planting.

·         Will spill over retaining walls and banks.

Comment:

Fast growing and attractive foliage makes this a good choice for mat forming groundcover.
