Description:
A glossy green leaved groundcover that is fast growing and low maintenance.
Flower:
Clusters of small white flowers appear in early summer.
Size:
15cm high x 50cm. (Spreads by runners so can get wider than this.)
Growing Conditions:
Does best if planted in dry shade but can tolerate damp areas. If planted in sun the foliage may dull a little but it will still grow well.
Care:
Very little care required. As it spreads by runners you may wish to keep it in check by trimming back some of the growth. This is easily done with a spade.
Uses:
- A perfect groundcover for dry shady areas, planting in front of Arthropodium will make an attractive under- planting for trees and shrubs.
- Great for filling in waste areas, or as a weed suppressant.
- Nice looking mass filler for planter boxes and garden beds. Plant under Standard Roses or Standard Bay Trees for an easy care formal look.
Comments:
Pachysandra is a really tidy and easy care groundcover perfect for many uses. The glossy foliage lends all year appeal. Imagine a bed of Pachysandra with a border of Black Mondo grass, a stunning combination.
