Dodonaea viscosa
A hardy native shrub admired for its strong red- purple foliage, which colour better if planted in poorer conditions. A tidy conical form that is useful for hedges and for use in exposed and/or coastal conditions. 3m x 1.5m
 
Fatsia japonica
A tropical looking shrub or small tree with large glossy leaves. Can be used indoors but prefers a partially shaded spot out of the afternoon heat. During autumn and winter it has clusters of small white flowers followed by black berries. 3m x 1.5m
 
Feijoa sellowiana
The Feijoa is a popular fruiting shrub and admired for its fluffy red flowers. Ideal to be trimmed as hedges or screens, Feijoas can tolerate coastal and dry conditions once established. Fruit is edible but quality is generally better on named cultivars. 3m x 2m
