Choisya ternata

Description

 Common Name:

Mexican Orange Blossom

Description:

A compact growing shrub with glossy green foliage.

Flower:

Clusters of small white star shaped flowers appear in spring and sometimes again in summer.

Size:

1.5m x 1.5m.

Growing Conditions:

Choiysa prefers free draining soil and to be planted in full sun to part shade. Protect from strong winds for best results.

Care:

Requires little care but a trim after flowering will maintain tight bushy growth. Fertilise in early spring to promote new growth and to keep the dark green foliage.

Uses:

  • Informal small screen or hedge.
  • Mass planting for coverage and colour.
  • Mixed shrub gardens.

Comments:

Choiysa ternata is one of our ‘tried and true performers’. An easy care shrub that looks good with other shrubs and even grasses for a change in texture.
