Blue- eyed grass. Description: A small grass like plant that quickly forms a clump of foliage. Flower: Masses of pale purple flowers produced on stems above the plant. Size: A clump forming perennial that grows to 20cm high. Growing Conditions: Will happily grow in part shade, but will flower better with more sun. Will grow in most average and free draining soils. Improve by adding compost or other organic material. Care: A hardy plant that requires little care. A tidy up after flowering is about the only thing necessary. Pull off dead leaves and prune flower stems. Can be split during winter to either control size or to produce more plants. Uses: A neat plant for rockeries and containers. A great filler in the front of the flower garden where the masses of flowers put on a wonderful display. Bulk plant with other hardy perennials for an easy care and colourful planting.
