Description:
A fast and tall growing sub-shrub with mint like leaves.
Flower:
Bright orange tubular flowers cover the plant through the summer. Look out for the white version as well.

Growing Conditions:
Plant in a hot and sunny location. Once established they are drought tolerant and very hardy.
Care:
Trim after flowering to control size and shape.
Uses:
· A useful plant for those hot sunny banks. Mass planted they look stunning.
· Plant for the strong colour, great way of bringing orange into the garden.
Comment:
This South African plant is often used by the tribes as an addition to tobacco or made into herbal tea. It is claimed to have a mild sedative effect and is also used for treating fevers, headaches and snakebites. We don’t recommend using it for any of this but are just giving a bit of background.
