70cm x 60cm
Growing Conditions:
Euphorbias are easy to grow but need a well draining position. They will grow in part shade but prefer a spot that receives full sun for part of the day. A great coastal plant that can handle be planted in sand.
Care:
Euphorbias are a hardy group of plants and need little care. Each season new growth will emerge from the clump base so you may wish to prune the old growth out. This will help keep the plant nice and tidy and compact. When cut Euphorbia produce a sticky milky sap that can irate skin and cause a rash, take precautions such as gloves before cutting.
Uses:
Wonderful filler for the front of the garden. It looks great when planted as a group as the form and the colour makes a great contrast. They work well in containers and can be used in rockeries or coastal gardens. ‘Glauca’ spreads easily and can used as an effective groundcover. To limited the size just pull out any of the new seedlings that pop up.
Comment:
The blue foliage is a great contrast. It can be used as a neat foreground planting for flaxes and grasses or used with any of the other colourful perennials. Euphorbia glauca is listed as threatened and in serious decline.
